- Introduction
- In large collaborations such as the LIGO-Virgo-Kagra collaboration (LVK), individual contributions are often not easily visible from the outside, or even within the collaboration(s)
- Increasing this visibility is of particular importance for early career scientists (ECRs) who have to show their contributions to collaboration work to further develop their careers.
- A recent survey amongst the early career scientists of the LVK, conducted by LAAC, supports the need of a system to make contributions visible.
- The recognition conceptThe goal of this initiative is to provide a publicly-accessible list of the contributions of individual collaboration members to LVK science outputs, ranging from reviewing production code to detector commissioning. The contributions are independently verified and drawn from a standardized list.
- Submit your contributionsTo get your own contributions displayed in this database, please follow the detailed instructions here. The contributions recorded here are user-submitted and independently verified by other members of the LVK. For this reason, the database is not necessarily complete.
