I am happy to accept the nomination to LAAC senior member. As it may sound like the usual cliche', the future of our field and science really relies on the next generation of researchers carrying the field forward and we, senior scientists, should do all what we can to support them. I have been doing science and worked in academia first as a graduate student, then post-doc and finally faculty for a quarter century, and have been a member of the LSC for the past 11 years. In the LSC I served as the first chair of the EPO group and the diversity group, and assisted Gaby Gonzalez for a few years during a very exciting time for the LSC. wink Starting the EPO and diversity groups are the two accomplishments of mine I cherish the most. Now I feel I can still contribute very much to the success of the LSC and would enjoy doing so by putting my experience at the service of LAAC.
